The Good, The Bad and the Very Muddy!

It’s the time of year again when we complete routine maintenance on our fleet of FV432s to ensure that every tank is in good working order for our customers to learn to drive during the tank paintball battles, military vehicle driving and tank driving experiences.

The Newest Renovation at Armourgeddon

Having scoured Europe for a new gun for the collection, a rather dilapidated Krupp 10.5cm howitzer was found, transported and arrived here at Armourgeddon in December 2015 ready for the team to restore it to former glory.

Armistice Day on The Somme November 2015

11 members of the team from Armourgeddon made a trip to the battlefields of Northern France in November to see some of the theatres of war which have provided the backdrop to the life of the military vehicles on site at Armourgeddon before their retirement with us in rural Leicestershire. It was a very moving trip.

Armourgeddon Museum gets an upgrade

The Armourgeddon Museum is undergoing a face-lift during the coming months as we develop new attractions, re-organise the exhibits and create a space for post-WWII artefacts.

A Chieftain, a Sexton and a Bastion Wall

News round up time. This week we thought we would update you on a couple of things that have been happening here at Southfields Farm. A new tank, some fun with the Sexton’s wheel stations and something you may not know about Camp Bastion.

The Victory Show, Cosby

Tent? Check. 1940s uniform? Check. Band of merry men to re-enact a 1940s regiment? Check. Massive tank to take to a show? Check. That’s us ready, it must be ShowTime again! This weekend it was The Sherman Tank that we took with us as we headed up the road to the 10th Anniversary of The Victory Show at Cosby in Leicestershire. As always, there was a load to see and do. Here are a few of our highlights.

Corporate and group days out

We have all sorts of corporate and event groups coming over to Armourgeddon, not always just to drive tanks or shoot paintballs either! Read on for some ideas for your group!

Tanks, Trucks and Firepower

A weekend of Tanks, Trucks, Firepower and campfire stories kept us busy at this show over the bank holiday. No need for the log burner for us. No… we had a tent! After all, it was the August Bank Holiday. Aren’t we guaranteed sunshine?

The Flying Cam Final Cut

The filming of 'The Flying Cam' at Armourgeddon is a day none of us on site will never forget. From the creativity of the costumes to the fantastic make-up and the fire breathing displays, the visit of The Flying Cam has culminated in a brilliant short video.

Rugby players can paintball !

Local rugby team players had the day off from Wellford Road to paintball in the August sunshine here at Armourgeddon and Chaos Paintball. They had a great afternoon in the woods if the smiles were anything to go by at the end of the day!
