The two Bedford MJ’s on site are regularly serviced and kept looking nice and tidy as they used on a daily basis by ourselves. Not a lot more to say about these work horses.
The Bedford M series entered the British Army in 1969 after beating Austin and Commer for the MOD contract, the first Bedford being the MK.
In April 1981 the MK was replaced with the MJ, meaning that rather than running a multi-fuel engine it would be a diesel engine that powered the Bedford. The very next year in June a 6 million pound order was announced to once again change the engine in the M series, this time being called the MJP (which we have on site). The engine was still a diesel but is now fitted with a turbo charger and a 155 litre fuel tank.
The two Bedford MJ’s on site are regularly serviced and kept looking nice and tidy as they used on a daily basis by ourselves. Not a lot more to say about these work horses.
