Having spent the last 3 years as a rust-filled antique in our museum, it is finally the turn of the Sexton Mark I tank to head through the workshop for a full re-build to be brought back to former glory and prepare for the shows later in the year. You may recall that we introduced our Centurion to you back in July. Our MK13 centurion was manufactured in late 1945 and therefore too late to actually take an active role in any WWII offensives, although it was expected that this design could withstand a direct hit from a German 88mm gun. The Royal Engineers used our specific Centurion. It was the Centurion, which was the primary British battle tank of the post second world war period
We have a new member of the team to introduce you to this week. To say we get all types of people coming to work with us is a slight understatement. Dean Johnson has his own business as a light aircraft valet engineer. He valets light aircraft, private jets and helicopters and has been doing so for about 9 years.
After a good few months of restoration, the Kübelwagen is ready to take central stage in our museum. It has been a great vehicle to work on and is now back in prime condition.
Yesterday Brad Pitt’s new film, Fury hit the big screen for its opening night. For his latest return to the World War II genre arena after Inglourius Basterds, Brad Pitt, working with End of Watch director David Ayer in this latest men-on-a-mission war drama, Fury.
